Marc Tyson

Biography

Marc Tyson has over 37 years in the construction industry which includes 15 years in large commercial work and 22 years of residential construction. He has an electrical engineering degree from Southern Technical Institute and worked in defense electronics industry prior to entering the construction industry.

Marc’s commercial experience included estimating, engineering management, project management and as a branch manager for a large specialty subcontractor in the Atlanta area.

In 1999, Marc left the corporate world to focus more on the residential market, both as a specialty subcontractor and as a builder. In 2004 his focus narrowed to the kitchen and bath arena, with an emphasis on cabinetry.

Over the years, Marc’s residential experience has encompassed many projects including a log home, a kitchen showroom for a chef, wine cellars and many kitchens/baths. He is an award winning kitchen designer having participated in several Contractor of the Year awards with NARI and design competitions with the NKBA.

Marc is a big believer in helping homeowners make the most of their remodeling experience. He is dedicated to both educating consumers and improving the integrity of the industry.
